About Home Helpers in Redding:

I am Sharon, the owner/CEO of Home Helpers. I live in Redding with my husband Jerry and three teenagers still at home.

Building this business over the past 6 years has been more rewarding than I ever imagined. Many of the families I have met have become an extension of my own. I have laughed, cried and partnered with all these families who share a common goal, keeping a loved one safe with as much independence as possible.

My own grandparents have been a huge part of my life. My family is extremely close-and in my grandfathers last days, it was a caregiver from my staff who traveled over 2 hours to help with his care. It was at this moment I truly realized what Home Helpers is all about. My grandfather did not want help from my grandmother, myself or his grown sons. Having a compassionate lady that was there for him, made his last moments with us unbelievable. We got to be his family. We got to visit and laugh and share stories. This was something only family could do for him-and that is what he wanted from us.
Many times during the aging process, family members feel isolated in finding answers to questions, worrying about a loved ones safety and understanding medical issues. Home Helpers is a partner to families and we understand the challenges of eldercare.

I personally visit every prospective client and interview every caregiver. Without this hands on approach, I could not achieve the success of matching client needs with caregiver skills. I will never change that. I have built a premier agency; one that has a hands on owner, one office manager and over 45 caregivers in the field. I address concerns, return calls and handle scheduling. You will not find a more dedicated owner anywhere.

Home Helpers is here to support families in any way we can. When family can’t do it, our Home Helpers family can.
