About Us
I am Sharon, the Owner/CEO of Home Helpers. I live in Redding with two wonderful children; Cody age 16 and Jessica age 12.
Building Home Helpers has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my life. Knowing there are wonderful people enjoying quality of life in their homes makes all we do worthwhile.
My own grandparents are in their eighties and still living independently at home. I grew up with them as a huge part of my life and almost every birthday and Christmas picture was taken in their home. I believe my mission has been to create a company that would be good enough for my own family; from whom I hire, to the rates I charge, to the policies in place. If it is not good enough for my own family- I simply don’t do it. This guiding moral compass has been my best gage of making the wisest decisions.
The responsibilities of Caregiving are many and so very critical. If caregivers are not compensated fairly, supported and trained properly- it makes the job even more difficult. It is my commitment to every family and staff member that these areas are very important to me. We are a team and all need to work together to provide the best environment for caregivers and clients alike.
Most recently, my sister Wendi joined me at Home Helpers. Together, we are building a company, building a community and realizing a dream. For all the grandparents & parents this means so much, Home Helpers is here to support and assist you in every effort to keep you at home. When family can’t do it all- our Home Helpers family can.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Home Helpers each Client and Caregiver becomes an extended member of our family.
Our mission is to deliver the same quality of care that we would expect for ourselves and our loved ones. We will provide services and support to any individual who chooses to remain independent in their home and community. We value the trust that our Clients have placed upon us and gladly choose to accept this responsibility.
